Aunty Lani’s
small-batch, island-inspired bakes from Park Slope.
Who is Aunty Lani?
I’m Kim — 20+ years in Park Slope, three kids raised on these blocks. I was born at Kapiʻolani Medical Center in Honolulu, with family roots in Trinidad. Two island traditions. One home kitchen.
The name came naturally. Lani means heaven or sky in Hawaiian — open, generous, warm. Aunty is a term of endearment for a woman who shows up, feeds you, and looks after the community around her. In our house, my kids call our closest friends Aunty and Uncle. That spirit is what I’m carrying into this neighborhood.
After a long career in consulting and banking, I’m trading spreadsheets for sheet pans. Two things I truly love: baking and connecting with people. Between AI, tech, and social media, the world has never moved faster — and sometimes, we all just need to slow down. Aunty Lani’s is that moment: a reason to pause, be present, and enjoy something made with care. Because the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. Butter mochi, granola, golden-edged cookies. Small-batch, made from scratch, fresh for every order.
